Hi, I’m Ashley K!

You get to be human.

Ashley Krstulovich, of WholeSelf Healing Resilience Center, is an E-RYT certified yoga & mindfulness instructor with over 5000 hours of studio, community, and volunteer teaching experience, a Yoga Alliance Certified Education Provider, and she’s currently earning her 300-RYT online. She is trained in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and studied with Mindful Schools to become a K-12 mindfulness educator. She’s also trained under James Fox, founder of the Prison Yoga Project (PYP), to teach trauma-informed practices. She has her certification in Kids and Families Yoga, is the founder and past executive director of Yoga for a Mindful Midwest (a nonprofit that has ushered mindfulness programming into many District 186 schools, a number of other public schools, local agencies, as well as weekly MBSR training with the Sangamon County Community Resource Center in 2019). She has presented her work at conferences with the Illinois Association of Community Action Agencies and Illinois Coalition Against Sexual Assault, twice having the honor of offering MBSR training to military personnel at the 2018 Annual SHARP Refresher Training in Marseilles and Springfield, Illinois. Before leaving to open a private practice, she co-founded the yoga studio FLOW Midwest Yoga & Meditation, which won Illinois Times’ Best Yoga Studio in Springfield, IL in 2020. She has worked with lieutenant governor Julian Stratton, as a guest panelist, to present and guide a meditation during the “Advocating for Self-Care” segment of the Women+Girls Virtual Summit in March of 2021. Her work has been featured by Yoga Journal, Chicago Tribune, NPR, Washington Post, and a variety of local news sources, such as Illinois Times, State Journal Register, and Springfield Business Journal. She is currently working towards earning her Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP), and is so excited to share S.E. with her community. Her passion remains the same, after all these years: "I aim to bring the benefits of yoga & mindfulness beyond the gyms and yoga studio walls and into the community, making it more accessible for all."
